Update given on the status of Equity & Access Training & Kagan Cooperative Learning Training.
Examined the 12 principals for PD from the National Staff development Council.
Need to identify school goals, i.e. differentiation of instruction for all learning, integration of arts in curriculum, etc.
Need to overall goals (5yr goals), examined downwards to our yearly goals such as meeting the AYP.
possible things to address PD, common conference periods to work on curricular planning
new teacher meetings on an ongoing basis on the opposite Mondays than ILT
Mr. martinez asked ILT for PD time for tomorrow 2.28.2012 to revisit & review ESLR's. Ms. Mui suggested that since we have already taught the ESLR lessons, we as a faculty should not revise them this year. Mr. Martinez asked ILT how revisit the ELSR's. Ask teachers to provide an example of how they have been imbedding the ESLR's and how they could teach them. Breakout by department to identify ESLR's using and not using. Asses if students are getting instruction in the ELSR's across departments.

Ms. Mui asked Ms. Gardea to share out Math retreat. Team building, Kagan strategies for teachers meetings, conversation coins, scope & sequence, uniformity with grading policies, periodic assessment review of assessments 1 & 2
